THE GRAPE HARVEST GOES ON STAGE
THE GRAPE HARVEST GOES ON STAGE
It is the annual event, promoted by Consortium “Tutela Vini d’Irpinia”, a meeting of journalists, producers, technicians, and experts, aimed at monitoring the evolution of the territory, starting from the current year’s harvest.
The initiative is aimed at providing a choral representation of the factors that characterize the development of Irpinia wine sector. The aim of the event is not to draw up a merit classification of the wines produced by the different participating wineries, but rather to provide an in-depth analysis of the entire supply chain and the territory itself, as well as an update on the changes underway in the winemaking community.
1) Tasting Seminar
Wine tasting with a selection of wines produced by the consortium member wineries, for a panel of journalists and top national sommeliers and tasters.
2) Special topic
Documentation illustrating the structural features and trends of the last wine vintage, prepared by a Technical Committee composed of professionals operating in Irpinia.
3) Vintage rating
A moment of open discussion aimed at gaining an overview of the changes taking place in Irpinia and of the qualitative trend of the wine vintage under examination, based on the results of the Special Topic carried out during the seminar. At the end, a summary qualitative assessment will be attributed to the vintage under tasting.
4) Walkaround tasting
An opportunity for producers to meet national and international journalists, experts, and wine lovers. Tasting counters will be set up and will be open to any consortium winery wishing to present its wines for tasting.
